Despite the media reports, most of Israel is a very safe place. In all our years we have been traveling to Israel we have never experienced any complications. We take every precaution and do whatever is necessary to assure the safety of the group. We are fully committed to making your experience in Israel both a safe one and a positive one. We travel with one of the top tour guides in Israel whose family helped guide vice president Joe Biden on his trip to Israel. We continually monitor the situation in Israel and iIf ever we believed we could not provide an experience that is both safe and celebratory, we would postpone the trip. Rest assured that you are in good hands and we are extremely confident in our travels to the Holy Land.
Israel during March is ending their winter season and heading into springtime. The temperatures vary in different parts of the nation but on average are about 50-60 degrees (lower in the evenings). Be prepared for it to be a little cooler in Jerusalem as it is a more elevated climate. In the South of Israel (Sea of Galilee and Dead Sea) it is going to be breathtaking; everything is beginning to bloom.
If you want to buy souvenirs we recommend deciding beforehand how much you are going to spend, we have many opportunities to shop on our trip and our guide will recommend great affordable places to us. Don’t forget to bring money for your lunches, the tour includes 4 lunches as a part of the package so plan for about $10-15 dollar per day when lunch is not included. Since a lot of shops and restaurants take U.S. dollar, there will be no need to exchange your money when we get to Israel, plan on bringing smaller bills for lunch ($5, $10, $20). Some places will take credit card (though it is rare) but make sure to let your credit card company know your traveling to Israel before you leave so they don’t suspect fraud and cancel your card while traveling.
We highly recommend travel insurance and recommend Arch Travel Protection now and it must be added no later than final payment. Any specific questions regarding the insurance we recommend they contact the company directly. https://www.gate1travel.com/insurance/arch/
